Some properties have character. Others have soul. Villa Vista, set in the Capalbio hills above the glittering Tuscan coast, has both. That’s because this 12-bedroom country retreat (which sleeps up to 24 guests) was once a working farmhouse and stables.
The luxurious estate you find today has been restored to respect this special heritage. You’ll find three self-sufficient spaces, all of which can be booked separately or together for exclusive use. The latter makes things well-suited to special occasions.
So what are Villa Vista’s best bits? Well, it’s impossible not to mention the infinity pool (and its elegant pool house). Cleverly positioned, it offers uninterrupted views across the valley, all the way to the glittering Tyrrhenian sea.
Elsewhere, the vast dining space in the farmhouse is a marvel. Its traditional timber-beam roof smacks of old Tuscany – as does its hearth and terracotta floor. We love the idea of spilling out onto the terrace for digestivo after a family-style banquet.
