Casa Galleria is a cultural initiative that transforms one of our managed apartments in Rome into a temporary home gallery, where contemporary art becomes part of the living environment.
Rather than encountering art only in museums or galleries, guests experience it within the intimacy of their home while traveling. They do not simply observe artworks—they live with them, move through them, and return to them throughout their stay.
When a stay becomes a cultural encounter
Casa Galleria challenges the traditional separation between gallery and home. Rather than decorating a space, each artistic collaboration activates it. The architecture becomes part of the exhibition, and the residence becomes a place of discovery.
Because at Burghesius, luxury is not only about beautiful homes, but about the stories, emotions, and ideas that inhabit them.
Austin Young x Casa Galleria
The first chapter of Casa Galleria unfolds in collaboration with Austin Young, an artist whose work constructs environments of radical beauty, collective memory, and visual ritual.
Working across photography, performative portraiture, installation, and public intervention, Young’s practice explores the tension between the sacred and the pop, the devotional and the transgressive.
Young’s works will be available in Casa Colonna from March 18th to June 18th.
