The mix of materials – wood, granite, marble, steel and brick – works beautifully, but it’s the Crittal-style windows that stand out. They lend a hip, post-industrial feel to the place, which works in harmony with its location in Trastevere (Rome’s coolest neighbourhood).
A special mention should go to the kitchen dining table, a single slab of oak that cuts across the breadth of the space. It works beautifully with the much sharper lines of the professional-level kitchen and, indeed, the various pieces of exotic art about the place.
